BRUNSWICK – Lorraine Isabel (Campbell) Valore, 80, a longtime resident of Brunswick, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Parkview Hospital after an extended illness. She was born May 25, 1929, in Bangor, the daughter of Walter and Princess Campbell. Friends and family will remember Lorraine as a sensitive, loving, outgoing, caring and a very high-spirited soul. She believed that life was precious and meant to be lived to its fullest. As a career navy chief petty officer’s devoted wife, she traveled the country from coast to coast, living in California, Las Vegas, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Rhode Island, Maine and the Philippines. Being a mom is what she devoted her entire life to. She loved her family and enjoyed her friends completely. Lorraine, best known as “Nana” to her family, is survived by her children, Paul, Shirley, Suzanne, John and Ivy; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Lorraine will be missed by all who knew and loved her. But everyone who knew her, knows that she was a young spirit in an aging body that needed to be set free. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, at Riverside Cemetery, Orono.
