MADAWASKA – Agathe Cote, 82, died June 24, 2009, at a Frenchville health care facility. She was born Feb. 5, 1927, in St. David, daughter of Come and Agnes (Beaulieu) Beaulieu. She is survived by three daughters, Marge Parent and her husband, Gene, of Grand Isle, Julie Kowalczyk and her husband, Joseph, of Bayonne, N.J., and Diane Ouellette and her husband, Marc, of Vernon, Conn.; two sons, Francis Cote and his wife, Edith, of Enfield, Conn., and Brian Cote and his wife, Judy, of Clover, S.C.; two stepdaughters, Theresa Hagwood of Portsmouth, Va., and Pauline Benner of San Marcos, Calif.; 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Cote; two sons, Robert and Mark Cote; one grandson, Shawn Cote; and by one stepson, Louis Cote. Agathe will be notably remembered as the little road-cruising madame in the red Dodge Neon car. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. David Church. Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until the time of services Friday at Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be at the parish cemetery.
