ELLSWORTH – Doris L. Linscott, 79, passed on to her new life and joined her loved ones June 23, 2009. She was born April 28, 1930, in Lamoine, the daughter and only child of Robert and Erva (Dority) Grindle. She lived her whole life, of 79 years, as resident of Ellsworth and was the beloved wife of the late Earland J. Linscott. Doris will long be remembered as the outgoing, spirited, loving, giving and happy lady that she was to all that knew her. She is survived by two children, Linda Grant and Lawrence Linscott, both of Ellsworth; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; and her extended family that she cared for during the years who knew her as Dot, Mother, Mom, Grammy, Auntie or Sister. Her family expresses their gratitude to the staff of Maine Coast Memorial Hospital for their support and care. At her request, no services will be held.
