ST. DAVID – Guy D. Pelletier, 77, a lifelong resident of St. David, died Thursday, June 18, 2009, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born April 24, 1932, in Edmunston, New Brunswick, the son of Florent and Azilda (Plourde) Pelletier. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Upon returning home Guy began his career at Fraser Papers of Madawaska, where he was employed for more than 30 years. He married Jacqueline Ouellette, Feb. 13, 1961, and they spent their life together in St. David. Guy was a proud, caring and hardworking man with a big heart. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. Guy retired, as a foreman, from Fraser Papers in 1991. He loved his family and friends and they loved him. He will be missed. Guy was a life member of the American Legion. He is survived by his daughter, Karie Ouellette and her husband, Allan, of Biddeford; two sons, Andrew and his girlfriend, Theresa, of Frenchville and Gregory of Indiana; three brothers, Delbert Pelletier of Edmunston, New Brunswick, Roger Pelletier of Florida and Gerald Pelletier of Madawaska; and two sisters, Rita Roy of Honolulu and Georgette Pelletier of St. Basil, New Brunswick. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Jacqueline in 1998; two sisters, Gaytane Clark and Mona Myers; and by two brothers, Giles and George Pelletier. A funeral Mass and a celebration of his life will be held 9 a.m. June 27 at St. David Church, St. David. Interment will be at St. David Cemetery.
