CARSON, Va. – Paul Eugene Clement, 54, passed away June 21, 2009, with his sons by his side at his home after a short illness. He was born March 15, 1955, in Connecticut, the son of Eugene and Doris Clement, and grew up in Glenburn. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served a tour in Germany. He graduated from Higgins Classical Institute, Charleston, Class of 1972. Paul liked to go snowmobiling and fishing, but most of all he loved to ride his Harley with his boys. He spoke of years gone by at Schoodic Lake on the Fourth of July. He always loved returning to Maine to visit distant family and friends. His favorite pastime was watching the Red Sox and he went to many games at Fenway Park. On June 21, 2009, it was his own bottom of the ninth, keeping his sense of humor until the end. He will always be missed by many and forgotten by none. Ride on, Paul. In addition to his father, Eugene and his mother, Doris, he is survived by three sons, Miles, Travis and Cody; as well as his daughter, Stephanie; his grandson, Tre; his sister, Patricia; brothers, John and his wife, Cathy, Jeffrey and his wife, Leigh and his daughters, Cherie and Jessi, Kevin and Kelly; his ex-wife and longtime friend, Lorraine Clement of Virginia; Pamela Simmons of Virginia, Steve Wickett of Brunswick and Brad Pusey of Glenburn. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Vern and Maggie Clement, and Peter and Bertha Eckert; as well as beloved uncles, Ellery “Butch” Clement and David Eckert.
