BIDDEFORD – Judith M. Desjardins, 59, died Thursday morning, June 25, 2009, at the Gosnell House, Scarborough, after a long illness with cancer. She was born June 6, 1950, in Madawaska, the daughter of Adrien and Viola Pelletier Desjardins. She was educated in Madawaska schools and graduated from Madawaska High School, Class of 1968. Mrs. Desjardins worked 15 years with UNUM, South Portland, and last worked five years with AETNA Insurance Co., Portland. Surviving are two sons, Jason Martin and his wife, Kiana, of Shirley, Mass., and Derrick Martin of South Portland; six brothers, Robert Desjardins and his wife, Yvonne, of Grand Isle, Daniel Desjardins and his wife, Carol, of Madawaska, Scott Desjardins and his wife, Libby, of Cecilia, Ky., Ronald Desjardins of Madawaska, Peter Desjardins of Madawaska and Rick Desjardins and his wife, Stacey, of Summersville, S.C.; two sisters, Joan Marquis and her husband, David, of Saco and Linda Morin and her husband, Andrew, of Fort Kent; and one granddaughter, Amanda Martin. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 4, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Friends and family may call 8 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Daigle Funeral Home.
