PEMBROKE – Margaret Adelaide (Trafton) Lincoln, 83, died Thursday, July 2, 2009, surrounded by her loving family, in Perry. Margaret was born March 5, 1926, in Lynnfield, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Bertram and Nellie (Palmer) Trafton. For 24 years, she and her husband owned and operated a grocery store in Pembroke. Margaret was an active member with Down East Hospice and Iron Works Methodist Church. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed going to bingo, spending time with her family and spending the winters in Florida with her daughter, Muriel. In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Malcolm Lincoln, in 1990. Surviving are her daughter, Muriel Leighton and her husband, Russell, of Florida; four sons, Gary and his wife, Rene, of Edmunds, Ronald and his wife, Cynthia, of Sanford, Dennis and his wife, Victoria, of Perry, and Kevin of Pembroke; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Tarbell of Marshfield; two brothers, Errol Trafton of Baring and Eugene Trafton of Summerville, Mass., and St. Stephen, New Brunswick; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 6, at Mays Funeral Home – Flagg Chapel, 72 High St., Eastport. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Iron Works Methodist Church, Little Falls Road, Pembroke, with Pastor Bernie Hammond officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Pembroke.
