BANGOR – Mary Jane Healy, 82, passed away peacefully July 1, 2009, at a Bangor health care center. She was born April 16, 1928, in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, the daughter of William N. and Helen E. (Lowe) Healy. Mary was a 1945 graduate of John Bapst High School and a 1947 graduate of Beal Business College. She worked for New England Telephone Co. for 44 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and was a member of Veazie Senior Citizens. Mary was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary’s Parish, Bangor. She also enjoyed knitting and reading. Surviving are a sister, Cecelia “Donna” Hickson of Hampden; two brothers, William F. Healy and his wife, Joan, of Eddystone, Pa., and Michael D. Healy and his wife, Jan, of Bangor; nieces, nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and a sister, Katherine A. Healy. Family and friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 3, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, July 4, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ohio Street, Bangor. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
