BANGOR – Charlotte E. (Pomeroy) Kelley, 70, died, Friday, July 3, 2009, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born Nov. 14, 1938, in Hermon, the daughter of Kenneth L. and Vivian D. (Overlock) Pomeroy. Charlotte was a member of Hampden VFW Post No. 4633 Lady’s Auxiliary. She loved playing Beano and wintering in Florida. She also had a great appreciation for music. Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Rosa Caristi and her husband, Peter, of Hermon; sons, George Kelley II and his wife, Teresa, of Hermon, David Kelley and his wife, Sarah, of Hopkinton, Mass., and Michael Kelley and his wife, Sharon, of Hudson; sisters, Lillian Kelley and her husband, Shubial, of Bangor, and Joan Overlock and her husband, Wendell, of Hermon; brother, Floyd Pomeroy and his wife, Jeannette, of Bangor; 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, George L. Kelley; and her sister, Connie Pomeroy. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 6, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, with the Rev. Herman C. Frankland, pastor of Messiah Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be afterward at Snows Corner Cemetery, Hermon.
