BANGOR – Patricia E. Hartery, 81, died July 4, 2009, at a local Bangor hospital. She was born March 23, 1927, in South Portland, daughter of Ralph and Viola (Reed) McGarry. Patricia was an avid crafter, making Raggedy Ann dolls and donating them to special needs children. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Milton J. Hartery of Bangor; two sons, Michael of Colorado and Steven and his wife, Lori, of Bangor; three daughters, Mary T. Russell and her husband, Bill, of Bangor, Anne Murphy and her husband, Kevin, of New Hampshire and Ellen Hartery-Otstott of Bangor; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Kristine, Melissa, Samantha, Taylor and Catherine; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Emma. She was predeceased by one brother, Ronald McGarry; one sister, Priscilla McGarry; and twin children, Jane and Elaine. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 300 State St., Bangor. Friends may call 9 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be afterward in the family lot at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
