LEE and LINCOLN – Joan “Jody” (Weatherbee) Gordon, 80, passed away July 4, 2009, at a Lee health care facility. She was born April 16, 1929, in Lincoln, the daughter of Kenneth and Beulah (Lancaster) Weatherbee. Jody was a 1948 graduate of Mattanawcook Academy. She married Lester “Sonny” Gordon in July 1954, and he passed away June 16, 1999. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Paula (Weatherbee) Sewell. Her survivors include a sister, Sandra W. Meyer and her husband, Donald Meyer, of Brunswick; four nieces, Darlene Justesen of Beverly Farms, Mass., Stacy Jochem of Waterville, Kendra Steel of Woolwich and Shelley Rogers of Indianapolis; three nephews, Kevin Meyer of Portland, Roy Sewell of Massachussets and Frederick Littlefield of Carmel, Calif.; and several cousins.
