DEXTER – Milton J. Pomroy, 72, died July 7, 2009, at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. He was born Oct. 31, 1936, in Dexter, son of Jerome and Arlene Pomroy. He worked at Eastland Woolen for most of his life, and later for Dexter Shoe as a night watchman. Milton enjoyed fishing and could often be seen polishing his truck. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Michele (Corbin) Pomroy of Dexter; three daughters and their spouses, Tina and Steve Nadeau of Garland, Fran and Paul Mann of Waterville and Melody and Joe Gerry of Detroit; a son, Mark Litchfield of Indiana; a stepdaughter, Tricia Thompson of New Hampshire; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandson and one great-grandchild on the way; three sisters, Ardith Childs of Sabbatus, Nancy Hight and her husband, Jimmy, of Corinna and Davena Reed and her partner, Glen Libby, of Garland; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; a son, Milton Jr.; and two brothers, Harlan and Ronald. He will be greatly missed by his best friend and daytime companion, Shilo; and special friends, Roger Clukey and Marsha White. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, July 13, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main St., Dexter. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, at Corinna Center Cemetery, Corinna.
