CORINTH – Roger E. Bither Jr., 61, husband of Nancy (Thompson) Bither, died unexpectedly July 8, 2009, at a Bridgton hospital. He was born Sept. 14, 1947, in Boston, the son of Roger E. and Marguerite (Noyes) Bither Sr. Roger worked as an auto mechanic in Massachusetts for many years and moved to Corinth several years ago. He was a very active member of Corinth United Methodist Church and Corinth Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving, in addition to his wife of Corinth and his mother of Dexter, are two sons, Shayne Bither of Bangor and Eric Bither of Quincy, Mass.; a daughter, Melissa Bither of Boston; four brothers, Bruce, Scott, Charlie and Randy; a sister, Gretchen Spears; and six grandchildren. Roger was predeceased by a sister, Christine Glovin. Friends may call noon until the time of services 2 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, with Glenn Burleigh Jr. officiating.
