MILFORD – Cleo “Lynnette” (Smith) Buzzell, 77, died peacefully July 9, 2009, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born Feb. 14, 1933, in Mattawamkeag, the daughter of Cleo Harry Smith and Goldie Mae (Lazier) Smith. Lynnette was a unit secretary at Eastern Maine Medical Center – EMMC, from 1984 until her retirement in 1998. Prior to working at EMMC, she volunteered there from 1978 to 1984. Family and friends were very important to Lynette and she cherished the time spent with them. She loved to make puzzles, watch TV and shop with her sister-in-law, Claris. She will be sadly missed and is survived by her son, Thomas Buzzell of Greenbush; five grandchildren, Jeff Buzzell and wife, Crystal, of Greenbush, Steven Buzzell and wife, Stacie, of Bangor, Daphne Buzzell of Rhode Island, Shawn Buzzell of Fort Campbell, Ky., and Krystle Loduke and husband, Chris, of Rhode Island; five great-grandchildren, Samantha and Jeffery Severance, Makayla Morey, Michael Buzzell and Haley Ellen Marie Buzzell; a very special niece, Julie Buzzell of Brewer and her children, Jessica of Deleware and Josh of Texas; and her special companions, her “babies,” Prince and Princess. She was predeceased by her husband, Alpheus Harold Buzzell, in 1991; a son, Robert Buzzell, in 1994; her parents; and two brothers, Richard Gill and Wilfred Gill. Friends may call 9-11 a.m. Monday, July 13, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A graveside service will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town.
