BREWER – Mary Teresa Kelly, 76, wife of the late Gerald Kelly, died July 9, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 27, 1933, in Bangor, the daughter of Cyrus B. and Jacqueline M. Gallant. Teresa was a longtime resident of Brewer and was a graduate of John Bapst High School. She worked for Cap Morrill’s Restaurant, Brewer, for many years and was a member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, Brewer. Teresa had many talents that she enjoyed, some of which were crafts, artistry, gardening and cooking. Surviving are two children, Gerald Kelly and wife, Jessica, of Orrington and Cynthia (Kelly) Garside and husband, Robert, of Orrington; four grandchildren, Parker Kelly, Robert Batron, Joshua Garside, and Lauren Garside and her fiance, Corey Lander; two sons-in-law, Robert Sekera of Eddington and Steve Doughty of Bangor; several nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and many friends. In addition to her husband of 54 years and her parents, Teresa was predeceased by two daughters, Mary Jo Sekera and Jacqueline Doughty; one sister, Mary Emeline (Gallant) Kelly; and three brothers, Frank, John and Raymond Gallant. Family and friends may visit 3-5 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, July 13, at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, Brewer. A time of continued fellowship will be held immediately afterward at the parish center.
