Though partisan candidates won’t have to file for another eight months, names of declared and possible candidates for governor are emerging. Who impresses you? Why? Does a Republican candidate have a chance to be the first since John McKernan of his or her

party to win the Blaine House in the last 50 years? Who would that be? Will Maine continue its tradition of seriously considering and possibly electing independent candidates?
