GILBERT, Ariz., and BANGOR – Lucy V. Simpson, 84, passed away July 18, 2009, in Mesa, Ariz. She was born Feb. 27, 1925, in Gardiner, Mass. She moved to Arizona in 1988. Previously she lived in Bangor and grew up in East Millinocket. She graduated from Eastern Maine Medical Center School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse for more than 40 years at various hospitals, including Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor, and St. Joseph, Bangor. She was predeceased by her husband, Sewell G. Simpson; and one grandchild, Stacey Lynn Hannah. She is survived by her sons, Tom and Brian Simpson of Gilbert, Ariz.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Harold Allen of Gilbert, Ariz., and Cathy and Randy Patterson of Mesa, Ariz.; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Carole and Craig Albin; one grandson, Jesse Allen, all of Gilbert, Ariz.; and three great-grandchildren, Austin, Natalie and Dominic Albin. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Falconer Funeral Home, Gilbert, Ariz., with a recitation of the rosary 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 440 East Elliot Road, Gilbert, Ariz.
