OLD TOWN – Lelia Lillian Nadeau Richards, 98, went to heaven July 21, 2009, surrounded by her family at an Orono health care facility. She was born April 3, 1911, daughter of Feliz and Emma (Morin) Nadeau. Lelia liked making quilts and potholders and giving them away. She was an avid Red Sox fan and loved to go camping. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lelia is survived by her sons, Lester “Popeye” and his wife, Karen, of Bradley, Franklin and his wife, Cathy, of Milford, Gordon and his wife, Gee-Gee, Tommy and his wife, Marie, all of Old Town; her daughters, Marlene Avery and husband, Robert, and Patty Lyons and her husband, Bobby, all of Old Town; and her “son,” Paul Oullette and wife, Judy, of Milford. She is also survived by her 26 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Lelia is predeceased by her husband, Leo; her sons, Ronald “Moose” and James; and her great-grandsons, Evan and Nicholas Spencer. Family and friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 23, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Church, 429 Main St., Old Town. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Old Town.
