DEXTER – Emery Grass, 85, died July 21, 2009, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. He was born May 5, 1924, in Masardis, a son of George and Nellie (Knowlton) Grass. He worked as a night watchman at Banton Brothers Mill, Newport, for 16 years and attended Dexter Pentecostal Church. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Lydia (Reed) Grass of Dexter; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be private. Graveside funeral and committal services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, in the family lot at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, with Pastor Lyman Curtis officiating.
