COREA – Ethel Katherine Myrick, 92, died July 28, 2009, at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born June 28, 1917, in Corea, the daughter of George and Hulda (Young) Anderson. Ethel worked at Stinson Canning Co., for 40 years, retiring at age 72. She enjoyed word and number search puzzles, reading the Bangor Daily News and watching the lobster boats in Corea Harbor. She will be missed by her special feline friend, Fluffy. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Myrick and husband, Bob Gray, of Blue Hill; sister-in-law, Lela Anderson of Corea; niece, Bonnie Naumann and husband, Joe, of Gouldsboro and her children, Ben, Jason and Aaron; and nephew, Randy “Bub” Anderson and wife, Nutty, of Corea. She was predeceased by her mother, Hulda and father, George; brothers, Carl, Casper and Herman; and sister, Awilda. A private graveside service for the family will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at Corea Cemetery, Corea. Contributions in Ethel’s memory may be made to ARK Animal Shelter, P.O.
