HOULTON and FLORIDA – Phyllis Eva (Lee) Dunlop Bradley passed away unexpectedly early Monday, July 6, 2009, while visiting her son in Clearwater, Fla. She was born March 6, 1932, in Millville, New Brunswick, to Herbert and Madelean (Meade) Lee. Phyllis and her husband, the late James A. Dunlop, lived in Massachusetts for several years, until 1969 when they moved their family to Houlton. She was also married to Alan Bradley of Florida. Most recently for health reasons, Phyllis had been living with her daughter in Jacksonville, Fla. While living in Houlton, she was involved in all aspects of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 47, holding the office of auxiliary president, as well as several other auxiliary officer positions. She loved spending time with her family and friends, was a great cook and enjoyed crocheting blankets for her grandchildren. Phyllis was a 21-year breast cancer survivor and for the last two years had helped raise funds for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in Florida. Phyllis was predeceased by her parents; one son, Steven Dunlop; and her ex-husband, James Dunlop. She will be sadly missed by her children, James Dunlop and wife, Kathy, Diana Henderson and husband, Doug, all of Houlton, Robin Rowland and husband, GR, of Florida, Jerry Dunlop and wife, Debbie, of Bath, Herbie Dunlop and wife, Lisa, of New Hampshire and Donny Bradley and partner, Barbie Campana, of Florida; 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, many other relatives, friends and ex-husband, Alan Bradley, who will also cherish her memory. A celebration of Phyllis’s life will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at the American Legion, Houlton. A private burial service will be after.
