BANGOR – Linda G. Shaw, 58, passed away unexpectedly July 30, 2009, at her home. She was born Aug. 23, 1950, in Dexter, daughter of Charles J. and Dorothy M. (Smith) Shaw. Linda loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed going on rides, gardening and was especially fond of talking on the phone. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Nancy Noyes. She will be sadly missed by her son, Christopher Shaw and his partner, Marlene, of Windham; her sisters, Louise Hynes of Bangor, Maxine Owens of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Carolyn Burke and her husband, Robert, of Bangor; grandsons, C.J and Cody Shaw of Washington; nephew, Martin Noyes and his wife, Andrea, of New Gloucester; nieces, Kelly Kinny and her husband, Rich, of Glenburn, Dawn Beswick and her husband, Jeff, of Hampden, Billie Jo Seavey and her husband, Chris, of Chemo Pond and Jodi Newell of Bangor. Linda held a special place in her heart for her great-nieces and great-nephews, Zachary, Jacob, Cameron, Hunter, Gabriel and Garrianna; and a special friend, Ramona Wade of Bucksport. A celebration of Linda’s life will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, at Highland Cemetery, Route 2, Carmel, with the Rev. Tammy Noyes officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the interment at 4 Coldbrook Road, Hampden.
