FORT KENT – Phillip Lamore, 25, passed away unexpectedly Aug. 12, 2009, at home. He was born Nov. 15, 1983, in Fort Kent Phillip attended St. Mary’s Academy, Edmundston, New Brunswick. He received a certificate in masonry from Loring Jobs Corps, at Loring in Limestone. He received a brown belt in karate and had a love for martial arts. He also enjoyed the outdoors, riding on his ATV and was a director of Valley ATV Rider, Inc. of Fort Kent Mills. He was an electronic enthusiast who was quick to offer computer assistance to anyone who needed it. He enjoyed the company of family and friends; his gentle smile touched those who came to know him, the generosity he showed and quick wit making people laugh touched everyone who knew him. Phillip will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Michelle (Lamore) Levasseur of Fort Kent; his father, Joel Saucier of Fort Kent and his family; maternal grandmother, Adrienne Lamore of Fort Kent; maternal great-grandmother, Izy Thibodeau of St. Francis; two sisters, Audrey D’Onofrio of Boston and Mikayla Levasseur; his brother, Samuel Levasseur, both of Fort Kent; stepfather, Jeanel Levasseur of Clair, New Brunswick; aunts and uncles, Colette and John Martha, Denise and John Kaleta, Daneille Lamore, Nicole Lamore, and Monique Lamore; cousins, Ben, Tom, Paul, Ian, Emily, Zach and Tyler; several other aunts, uncles and cousins; and his beloved dog, Quincy. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Dana Lamore in 1988; and paternal grandfather, Gerald Saucier in 1990. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Friends may call 8 a.m. until the time of service at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. Committal services will be afterward at the parish cemetery.
