YORK – Marilyn Anne Halle died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009, at her home. She was born Jan. 30, 1933, in Dexter, to Leona R. Hall (Peavey) and Charles E. Hall. Marilyn graduated from Portland High School, attended Becker Junior College, Worcester, Mass., married and moved to Pennsylvania, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in political science, and in 1975, a master’s in education at the University of Pittsburgh. In 1978, Marilyn returned to New England, where she worked in various jobs as a professional counselor and ended her career as a juvenile probation officer for the state of New Hampshire. Upon retirement in 2004, she returned to her beloved Maine. She was predeceased by a sister, Jacquelyn McKenney of Dexter. She is survived by four daughters, Kathy Rinn of Tucson, Ariz., Nancy Rinn-O’Donnell of Santa Barbara, Calif., Marilyn Rinn of Cape Neddick and Jane Rinn of Medford, N.J.; several nieces and nephews.
