MILLINOCKET – Glen David Evans, 67, loving husband, father, pappy, brother and friend, was received into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Aug. 17, 2009. His favorite pastimes were reading the Bible and golfing. He will be missed by many. He is survived by his wife, Anne (Smart) Evans of Millinocket; his children: daughters, Tona Evans of Bangor and Missy and husband, Joe Clark, of Millinocket; a son, David and wife, Angie Evans, of Kansas City, Mo.; stepchildren, Daniel Smart of Fryeburg and Helen Perille and husband, Julian, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; grandchildren, Casey Freeman of Levant; “pappy’s little man,” Michael Clark of Millinocket; and Alexis Mae Evans, due in November, of Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Virginia “Midge” Thompson; and brothers, Pete, Larry and Bobby Jo Evans of W.Va. He was predeceased by his parents, Minton and Dallas; and brothers, Bob, Jack, Richard and Bill Evans. He had many special people in his life, including Megan, Dick, Ozzie, Captain Kirk and Harold. He also had his Bible study groups and golfing friends. Viewing will be held 1-3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Millinocket Baptist Church with services afterward. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Katahdin Area Support Group or Millinocket Baptist Church.
