KINGMAN – Armand D. Gravel, 71, husband of Nancy Gravel, went to see his Lord and maker Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at Penobscot Valley Hospital, Lincoln. He was born Aug. 7, 1937, in Blackstone, Mass., the son of the late Alfred and Leah Gravel. Armand worked at many jobs and was a very active member of Kingman Fire Department for more than 30 years. In addition to his wife, Nancy, he is survived by two children, Alfred N. Gravel of Woonsocket, R.I., and Laura Gravel of East Millinocket; three grandchildren, AJ Gravel, Julia Preble and husband, Steven, and David Emery; one great-grandson, Jayden Cochran; two brothers, Robert and wife, Mary Jane, of Blackstone, Mass., and Edward and wife, Dianne, of Pascoag, R.I.; one sister, Estelle and husband, Gerry Langlois, of Harrrisville, R.I.; many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial, a celebration of new life, will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at Saint James Catholic Church, Kingman, with a release of balloons after the Mass. A luncheon will be after at Kingman Elementary School. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
