ORRINGTON – Juliet “Julie” Anne (Peavey) Parent, 68, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. She was born April 5, 1941, in Bangor, the daughter of Charles Fulton and Louise (Stratton) Peavey. Julie was a 1959 graduate of John Bapst High School. She enjoyed a long career as a nurse’s technician at Eastern Maine Medical Center and enjoyed many hobbies, including gardening, entertaining and traveling the world. Julie is survived by her loving husband, Richard Parent of Orrington; sons, Shawn and Chris Dougherty of Bangor and Scott Parent and his wife, Patty, of Orrington; daughters, Kathleen Jackson and Colleen Dougherty of Bangor and Shelley Burns and her husband, Norman, of Levant; brothers, David Peavey and his wife, Laura, of Twinsburg, Ohio, and Larry Peavey and his wife, Sharon, of Swansville; sisters, Priscilla Peavey of North Chelmsford, Mass., and Rosemary Hepler and her husband, Keith, of Galloway, Ohio; grandchildren, Ashley, Cristine, Lilly, Sarah, Hillary, Stephanie, Kyle, and Emily; great-grandchildren, Collin and Connor; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Aileen. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at St. Paul the Apostle, St. John’s Catholic Church, York Street, Bangor.
