HOLDEN – Bernard “Bernie” A. Jamieson, 54, died unexpectedly Aug. 19, 2009, in Ellsworth. He was born Sept. 7, 1954, in Machias, son of Royce and Olive (McReavy) Jamieson. Bernie was a well-known resident of Holden for many years. He was a jack-of-all-trades working in a variety of different areas, including construction, truck driving and plowing. Bernie was a philanthropist in every regard. He was quick to help a neighbor, a friend or a family member in any way he possibly could. Bernie loved spending time “up ta camp” and riding, fixing and bragging about his ’82 Shovelhead Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Bernie loved his family especially the love of his life, Lori Cyr of Holden; his two children, Zachary Jamieson and his fiancee, Jen Arneson, of Georgia and Seth Jamieson of Holden; his parents, Olive and John Peters of Dedham; his grandchild, Kelsi Rain Jamieson of Georgia; three brothers, Jerry Jamieson and his wife, Donna, of Brewer, Wayne Jamieson and his wife, Debra, of Holden and Scott Peters and his wife, Beth, of Falmouth; an aunt, Ethelyn Chase of Vermont; several nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by many close friends including his dog, Lilly. Family and friends may visit 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer, where a service honoring his life will be held 3 p.m. with the Rev.
