ABBOT – Ann R. Huff, 72, died Aug. 29, 2009, at her home. She was born May 4, 1937, in Bangor, daughter of Glenn and Alta (Tracy) Robinson. In 1942 she and her family moved to Greenville, where she attended school and graduated from Greenville High School in 1955. Ann graduated from Farmington State Teacher’s College in 1959 and taught at Piscataquis Community High School. Ann married Dale F. Huff in 1961. They moved to Fort Fairfield, where she taught first grade. In 1972 the family moved to Millinocket. Ann was an accomplished musician. She was the accompanist for the Millinocket schools for many years and enjoyed performing for various churches. After retirement Ann and Dale moved to Whetstone Pond in Abbot. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dale F. Huff of Abbot; a daughter, Robin Anderson and her husband, David, of New Hampshire; a son, Scott Huff and his wife, Amanda, of Tennessee; six grandchildren; a stepsister, Marion Morrell Whitten and her husband, Richard, of Freeport; stepsisters-in-law, Mona and Sally Morrell; brothers-in-law, Duane Huff and his wife, Kathy, of Guilford and Wayne Huff and his wife, Melanie, of Monson; cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her stepmothers, Dorothy Morrell Robinson and Julia Cox Robinson; and stepbrothers, Mel and Cort Morrell. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Guilford United Methodist Church with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating. A reception will be after the service with burial afterward at Greenville Cemetery.
