KNOXFORD, New Brunswick – Elva Elliott passed away Aug. 29, 2009, at Tobique Valley Manor. She was born Oct. 25, 1920, in Knoxford, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Wilmot and Pearl (McGrath) Estey. Elva was a member of Knoxford Women’s Institute. Elva leaves behind her children, Carolyn Reed and the Rev. Lawrence of Harveys Lake, Pa., Albert Gough and Eugene of Mapleton, Reginald Elliot and Carlene of Presque Isle and Sheri Elliott of Windsor, Ontario; her grandchildren, Melony and Leonard Spinelli, Joy and Scott Rayman, Terri Gough, Norman Elliott, Matthew Elliott, William Elliott, Amie Elliott, Kaurie Elliott and Jessie Elliott; great-grandchildren, Austin Rayman and Jonas Elliott; sister-in-law, Dolores Estey of Truro, Nova Scotia; and brother-in-law, Devern Greene of Grand Manan Island. She was predeceased by her sister, Doris Greene; and her brother, Malcolm Estey. Resting with visitation will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Knoxford Praying Band Church, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Andy DeRier officiating. Interment will be at Upper Knoxford Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to Tobique Valley Manor Generator Fund would be appreciated by the family.
