GUILFORD – Dennis J. Martin, 65, died Aug. 29, 2009, at his home. He was born July 23, 1944, in New Haven, Conn., the son of Nicoll B. and Ethel (Shansey) Martin. Dennis worked for 32 years for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier in Woodside, N.Y. After his retirement in 1999 he, his wife and his brother-in-law moved to Maine. He enjoyed snowmobiling in the winter, but his real love was motorcycling and his family. He is survived by his wife, Pat (Gomi) Martin; a daughter, Dawn Martin and her children, Richard Martin, Sophia Deleon and Samantha Deleon; a daughter, Cheryl-Ann Errico and her children, Matthew, Joey and Michael Errico; a son, Christopher Martin and his wife, Helen and their children, Irving and Anthony Baez and Amanda Martin; two great-grandchildren, Irving and Julian Baez; a brother-in-law, Anthony Gomi; three brothers, Terry Martin and his wife, Donna, Nicoll Martin, and Robert Martin and his wife, Mako; several nieces and nephews.
