LAMOINE – Robert G. Haslam Jr. died unexpectedly Sept. 2, 2009, at his home. Bobby suffered numerous health problems since the death of his beloved daughter, Jina, June 20, 2005. He has now joined her resting in peace. He was born Nov. 20, 1956, in Norwalk, Conn. He moved to Lamoine in 1971. His true love and passion was cooking, especially at Maidee’s, Seafood Ketch, Bob’s Lunch Bus, and at home daily for family and for many family occasions. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Patti (Neleski) Haslam, whom he married in 1988; a daughter, Angela and her daughter, Riley Jina; a son, Eric and his wife, Jen and their daughter, Aurora, all of Ellsworth; sons, Kyle and Ben of Lamoine; his father, Robert G. Haslam Sr. and wife, Rose, of Cherryfield; his mother, Jean (Palinkas) Mones and husband, Irving, of Port Orange, Fla.; a sister, Deborah Kane of Lamoine; and brothers, James and wife, Mary, of Hancock, and Jason Mones of Brooklyn, N.Y. He will also be sadly missed by in-laws, Bill and Enid Neleski of Lamoine and their son, Bill Jr. and family, of Cumberland; and a large and extended family. Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with the family 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, 215 Main St., Ellsworth, where services will be held 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
