BRUNSWICK – Kyle B. Dwyer, 21, died Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, in Bangor. He was born Jan. 8, 1988, in Brunswick, the son of Blair C. and Jodie Thompson Dwyer. He graduated from Brunswick High School, where he played both basketball and football, where he was both all-conference and honorable mentioned. He was in his third year at Husson College. Kyle played on the football team and joined Husson’s first year lacrosse team and excelled. Kyle enjoyed working in restaurants, having been employed at the Muddy Rudder and most recently at Ruby Tuesday, where he was very proud of recently being made a waiter. Some of his favorite times were spent at Hoop Basketball Camp, Casco. He enjoyed getting together with his extended family and lifting weights with his friends. He had been guided by some wonderful coaches along the way. Kyle’s zest for life and mischievous smile were contagious. He loved being around people. All those whose lives were touched by Kyle will carry on his spirit forever. He was predeceased by grandparents, Alvin MacKenzie, Lila Couturier, Richard Thompson and George Dwyer; and an aunt, Becky Clough. He is survived by his parents of Brunswick; a sister, Courtney Lee Dwyer of Brighton, Mass.; a brother, Colby B. Dwyer of Brunswick; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy C. MacKenzie of Brunswick; a maternal grandfather, Roger Couturier of Greene; 22 aunts and uncles, as well as 27 cousins. A celebration of Kyle’s life will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Pathway Vineyard Church, 12 Foss Road, Lewiston, with Pastor Philip Strout officiating.
