BANGOR – John R. Turcotte, 65, died Sept. 8, 2009, at his home. He was born Oct. 13, 1943, in Manchester, N.H., the son of Alfred and Mary (Swindell) Turcotte. John served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the Seabees. He is survived by his brother, Michael Turcotte of Lindhurst, N.J. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor. Interment with full military honors will be held noon Friday, Sept. 18, at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta.
