WASHBURN – Pauline E. Drake, 83, wife of the late Kenneth E. Drake, died Sept. 11, 2009, at a Presque Isle health care facility. She was born Oct. 16, 1925, in Caribou, the daughter of Norman and Ivy (McIntosh) Jones. Pauline and her husband were longtime members of Caribou Hoofers Square Dance Club. She had been employed as a cook in the Washburn School cafeteria for many years. Pauline enjoyed sewing, knitting and making crafts. She is survived by a son, David Drake and his wife, Diane, of New Hartford, Conn.; two daughters, Janice Adams and her husband, Stewart, of Easton and June Peters and her husband, Alan, of Hampden; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sisters, Beatrice Wilcox and Eva Usyk, both of Utica, N.Y.; half sister, Elta Kilcollins of Maine; stepsister, Philippa Clesielski of Presque Isle; half brothers, Roger Jones of Caribou, Ralph Jones of Fort Fairfield and Melvin Jones of Connecticut; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Pauline was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Drake; brothers, Claude, Delton and Elwood Jones; and a stepsister, Gwen Gould Elliot. Relatives and friends may call 11 a.m.-noon Monday, Sept. 14, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A reception will be held immediately after in the gathering area of the funeral home. Graveside services will then be conducted 2 p.m. at Riverside Extension Cemetery, Washburn, with the Rev.
