MACWAHOC – Merelyn Jacquetta Watters, 76, wife of the late James Watters, passed away Sept. 14, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 24, 1933, in Piermont, N.H., the daughter of Reynold “Ray” Evan Adams and Marie Phyllis (La’Montagne) Adams. Merelyn was a housewife, a poet and an artist. She is survived by two sons, James Franklin Watters Jr. and Ray Richard Watters, both of Macwahoc; and a niece, April Marie. She was predeceased by her husband; and a brother, Richard Evan Adams. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Mark York officiating.
