VAN BUREN – Rosaire P. Rossignol, 69, died Sept. 28, 2009, at his residence. He was born April 8, 1940, in Van Buren, the son of Theodule and Bertha (Vaillancourt) Rossignol. He is survived by three sons, Paul Rossignol and his wife, Louise, of St. Leonard, New Brunswick, Albert Rossignol and his wife, Tammy, of Presque Isle and Robert Rossignol and his wife, Barbara, of Tennessee; one daughter, Joan Rossignol and her fiance of Scranton, Pa.; four brothers, Joseph Rossignol and Philip Rossignol of Van Buren, Leo Rossignol of Crouseville and Marc Rossignol of Madawaska; eight sisters, Germaine Whitten, Anita Donovan, both of Crouseville, Irene Whitmore of Buckfield, Marie Roy of Turner, Therese Langrell of Lyman, Leda Burrow and Shirley Newton of Arkansas and Doris Murphy of Grand Isle; and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother, Aurele Rossignol; and one sister, Helen Violette. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Committal service and interment will be at the parish cemetery.
