HODGDON – Ruth M. Kervin, 89, went to be with her Lord Oct. 1, 2009. She was born March 12, 1920, in Linneus, the daughter of Charles and Edna (Stoddard) Rockwell. Ruth was a member of Hodgdon Baptist Church. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Ruth is survived by three daughters, Barb and Pete Corey, Sharon and George Merritt, all of Hodgdon, and Jayne Kervin of Houlton; two sons, Bill and Jean Kervin of Houlton and Tim and Diane Kervin of North Carolina; 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Cliff Rockwell of Holden, and Bucky and Barb Rockwell of Benton; one sister, Mary Woodworth of Houlton; one sister-in-law, Wilma Hemore of Houlton; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Kervin; son, Bob Kervin; and grandson, Bruce Kervin. Friends may call Saturday 6-8 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Mark Lunn officiating. Interment will be at Hodgdon Cemetery.
