ST. AGATHA – Nellie Chamberlain, 88, died Oct. 7, 2009, surrounded by her family at her residence, after a brief illness. She was born Sept. 11, 1921, the daughter of Georges and Rose Anna (Daigle) Roy. Nellie loved to play the piano and sing, and enjoyed playing bingo. She was a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 145, Frenchville, for 58 years and was past president. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Ricky and Mary Ann, and Bobby and Carol, both of St. Agatha; three daughters, Doria Wilkos of Windsor, Conn., Jean of St. Agatha, and Linda and her husband, Jack Caron, of Sinclair; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Irene Lawton of Southington, Conn. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald, in 1994; and one son, Ronnie, in 1980. Friends and relatives may call 11:30 a.m. until the time of services Saturday, Oct. 10, at Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Agatha Catholic Church, St. Agatha, with the Rev. Phil Cyr officiating. Burial will be at St. Agatha Lower Cemetery.
