HUDSON – Wendell A. Thayer Sr., 68, beloved husband of Ethel Thayer, died Oct. 7, 2009, at his residence. He was born Dec. 16, 1940, in Glenburn, the son of Herbert and June (Bubier) Thayer. Wendell worked for Sunrise Materials, Orono, for many years. Surviving, in addition to his loving wife are two children, Wendell Thayer III and his wife, Donna, and Lue Currier and her husband, Walter, all of Hudson; his grandchildren, Guy, Amanda, Sarah, Devin and Courtney; and great-grandchildren, Alexzander and Makayla. Wendell is also survived by his sisters, Mable, Linda and her husband, Alfred, and Nadine and her husband, Ray; and brothers, Herbert Jr. and Fred and his wife, Helen. Wendell was predeceased by a son, Wendell Jr. Friends may call 7-8 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev.
