OLD TOWN – Donald Ouellette, 74, passed away Oct. 12, 2009, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born Dec. 2, 1934, the son of Leon and Leona (Duplissis) Ouellette. Donald worked for city of Old Town for 20 years, and after his retirement, he worked at YMCA, Old Town. He was a member of Eagles Club, Brewer. Donald enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, going out to camp, fishing and dancing. He would often spend his free time puttering around. Donald was always a very hard worker and his great sense of humor will be missed by all. Donald is survived by his wife, Sylvia (Ireland) Ouellette; seven children, Donald Jr. and his wife, Melanie, Vicky Cade and her husband, Wayne, Mark and his wife, Renee, Scott, Lisa Roy, Teri Hatch and her husband, Jim, and Joey and his wife, Amanda; 10 grandchildren, Sara, Heather, Joseph, Marque, Rachel, Brandi, Shauna, Moriah, Dominique and Elias; and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his three sisters, Rita Umbro, Mary Gero and her husband, Robert, and Audrey Lamare; four sisters-in-law, Carol Ouellette, Sandy Thibeault and her husband, Galen, Jeanette Seymour, and Linda Shaffer and her husband, Waldo; and brother-in-law, Archie Jipson and wife, Bonnie. In addition to his parents, Donald was predeceased by his two brothers, Milton and Robert; and sister, Bernice Field. The family expresses a sincere thank you to all the nursing staff at Westgate Manor, Bangor, for all the wonderful care that Donald received. Family and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at Holy Family Church the Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord, 429 Main St., Old Town. Interment will be private at a later date.
