LEVANT – Howard A. Brann, 88, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, with his loving family by his side, at his home. He was born Aug. 4, 1921, in Levant, the son of Harland and Evelyn Brann. Howard made life very interesting by the many stories he told and for the resulting good laughs had by everyone, even Howard himself. He is survived by, his daughter, Adela Mishio and her husband, Don, of Carmel; granddaughter, Pam Young and her husband, George, of Levant; grandson, Jay Porter and his wife, Valerie, of Levant; the apple of his eye and greatest joy, great-granddaughter, Meghan Young of Levant; many nieces and nephews, too many to list, but all greatly loved. In addition to his parents, Howard was predeceased by his wife, Viola; a son, Alton; two brothers and a sister. Many thanks to Marie for all her love and kindness throughout the years; to Georgia who brought him many goodies; special neighbors, Jim and Rose; New Hope Hospice for their help and support during this journey; those who called him often to check on him; and to those who called his home their home. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at North Carmel Cemetery, Horseback Road, Levant, with Pastor Tammy Noyes officiating.
