ST. STEPHEN, New Brunswick – Gerald “Jerry” Wayne Burns, husband of Karen L. Cliffe and son of Sally A. (McKay) Burns of St. Stephen, New Brunswick, and the late Harold P. Burns, died Oct. 12, 2009, at Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, New Brunswick. In addition to his wife, Karen; and mother, Sally, he is survived by a sister, Mary Jane Mosher and husband, John, of St. Stephen, New Brunswick; stepdaughter, Megan Lindsay and husband, Josh, of St. Stephen, New Brunswick; two nieces, Candace and Charlotte; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at Kirk McColl United Church, King Street, St. Stephen, New Brunswick, with the Rev. Dr. Mark Hatfield officiating. Interment will be at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main St., St. Stephen, New Brunswick.
