ORONO – Adam Fielding Davis, 22, died accidentally Oct. 10, 2009, in Billings, Mont. He was born Sept. 29, 1987, in Bangor. Adam was the beloved son of Leanne Davis and her partner, Brenda Fielding, of Orono. Adam attended Orono elementary, middle and high schools, graduating in 2005. Adam’s passion was literature, art and music. He excelled in poetry, journalism and theater while at Orono High School. Adam was drawn to reading, traveling and searching for new experiences. He was loved dearly by his sister, Annie, who shared in his sense of humor, spontaneity and originality. Adam was blessed to have a long-term relationship with the Orono community including Orono Recreation Department, Orono High School Theater and Orono Community Theater, as well as being a long-term counselor at the children’s recreation department in Orono. Adam was an aspiring poet, an English major attending classes at the University of Maine. Adam will be sadly missed by many friends, co-workers, community members and fellow travelers. Surviving are his sister, Annie; grandparents, Leo and Cally Davis of Bangor, Bruce and Betty Fielding of Augusta; aunts and uncles, Kathy Dentici, Ellen and Steve Coleman of Bangor, Frank Dentici of Hermon, Brian and Jennifer Fielding of Augusta; and two special cousins, Carl and Cristina Dentici of Bangor. Relatives, friends and community members are invited to attend a gathering celebrating Adam’s life 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Orono Community Center, 19 Bennoch Road, Orono. Instead of flowers and cards, Adam’s family is requesting a donation be made in Adam’s memory to the Orono Recreation Children’s Programs, care of Maida Robichaud, 19 Bennoch Road, Orono, ME 04473. There will be no services other than the gathering. Coordination of arrangements are through Brookings-Smith, LaBeau Chapel, 72 Main St., Orono.
