CARIBOU – Alma E. Sirois, 93, wife of the late Charles Allen Sirois, died Oct. 18, 2009, in Caribou. She was born July 16, 1916, in Caribou, daughter of the late Leonard and Rose Marie (Caron) LaForest. Mrs. Sirois was employed by Caribou School Department as a cook at Caribou High School for more than 32 years, 18 of those years as the manager. She was a member of Maine State and National American School Food Service associations and had received numerous awards and certificates for her dedication and length of service to the school lunch program. She was a life-long member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She is survived by four grandchildren, Daniel Sirois and his wife, Lisa, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Andrea Sirois of Caribou, Christopher Sirois of Raleigh, N.C., and Bobbi Jo Sirois of Rhode Island; five great grandchildren, Savanna, Alexis, Cassidy Rose, Caitlin and Jacob; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Sirois was predeceased by her husband, Charles; and her son and daughter-in-law, Charles “Ron” and Rosemary “Terri” Sirois. Friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be at Old Holy Rosary Cemetery.
