MOODY – Simon J. “Sam” Brusgulis, 77, passed away Oct. 15, 2009, with his wife, Ann, by his side at their home, after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. He was born Aug. 21, 1932, in Somerville, Mass., son of the late Samuel and Mary (Katanas) Brusgulis. Sam was a graduate of Rindge Tech High School, Cambridge, Mass., and attended NRI, Washington, D.C. He retired as a lab tech from Raytheon Manufacturing of Massachusetts after 40 years of service. He was also a master sergeant with the Massachusetts National Guard Reserves for 15 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Ann E. (Perry) Brusgulis of Moody; a brother, Edward of Arlington, Mass.; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Peter. A very, very special thanks to Dr. Robert Horowitz and his staff for the special attention given to Sam throughout the years. Also a special thanks to Beacon Hospice of York and their wonderful staff. A memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Wells. A private graveside service will be held at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor.
