TOWN HILL – Mildred “Mim” E. Richardson, 96, died Oct. 19, 2009, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. She was born July 21, 1913, in Tremont, the daughter of Leslie and Wilda (Reed) Hamblen. Mim worked at the John Hamblen General Store for more than 50 years. She loved to cook and go clamming. She enjoyed her family and especially spending time with her nieces and nephews. Mim also enjoyed her extended family at Golden Acres. She is survived by her nieces and nephews; and special nieces, Judy Lewis and husband, Ron, of Arizona, Rhonda Elliott and husband, Colin, of Massachusetts and Joan Terry and husband, Wilbert, of Southwest Harbor. Mim was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph Richardson. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at Mount View Cemetery, Town Hill, with the Rev. Dr. Richard Tardiff officiating.
