LARGO, Fla., and HOWLAND – Gary Watson Sage died Oct. 20, 2009, in Papillion, Neb. He was born May 4, 1938, in Old Town, the son of Elwin and Marion Sage. Gary graduated from Howland High School. He attended the University of Maine, Orono, and graduated in 1961 with a bachelor’s degree in business. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Anah Shriner’s Temple and a member of NELMA for many years. Gary is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carlene Johnson Sage; his daughters and sons-in-law, Wendell and Leah Germon, and Duane and Pamela Davis; his grandchildren, Mark Jacques, Lana Tessier, Samantha Murphy, Toni Pierce, Johnathan Jacques, Amanda Jacques, Cody Jacques and Dylan Germon; great-granddaughter, Sage Pierce; and sister and brother-in-law, Richard and Linda Buck. He was predeceased by his parents; and his son, Chadwick Sage. A memorial service will be held next summer, at a date to be announced.
