BROOKLIN and DEER ISLE – Michael “Mike” L. Browne, 57, went to be with the Lord Oct. 21, 2009. He was born March 11, 1952, in Farmington, the son of Glendon and Rita (Gilcot) Browne. Mike’s family moved to Connecticut when he was young. There, he attended school and returned to Maine after graduation. Mike loved Maine, enjoying its natural beauty and especially hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister and one brother. He is survived by three sisters, Phoebe and her husband, Richard Rulon, of Connecticut, June and her husband, Roy Florian, of Brooklin, and Audrey and her husband, Paul Blonsky, of Georgia; and his brothers, Joseph and his wife, Tricia Browne, of Glenburn, Stephen and his wife, Kathy Browne, of Holden, and Timothy and his wife, Kris Browne, of Virginia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews who all were very close to their Uncle Mike. Mike was known for his friendly personality, easygoing way and sense of humor. He will be sadly missed, but certainly not forgotten by family and friends. A funeral service will be celebrated 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, 215 Main
