BRUNSWICK – Leo John “Buzz” Bouchard Sr., 66, passed away Oct. 24, 2009, with loving family by his side. Leo was born June 30, 1943, in Old Town, the son of Leo Albert and Virginia Gertrude (LeBretton) Bouchard. Leo attended school in Old Town until 1958. In 1960 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was attached to the 7th Army and the 2nd Infantry Division. He was honorably discharged in 1966. Leo moved to Madison, where he married Donna Comeau and raised two children. He returned to school and graduated from Skowhegan High School. Leo was a member of Kennebec Valley Riders Motorcycle Club and also enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends. In 1985 Leo moved to Brunswick, where he shared the remainder of his life with his fiancee, Monique. Together they enjoyed their yearly camping trips with friends. Leo worked at L.L. Bean for 16 years and retired in 2005. His great sense of humor and wisecracking ways will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Alan Bouchard; and his best friend, Reginald Bagley. He is survived by his fiancee, Monique Potee and her son, Leon and his wife, Mary, and their daughter, Noelle; his two loving children, Leo J. Bouchard Jr. and Katharine Leeman and her husband, Steven; two grandchildren, Joshua Leeman and his wife, Heather, and Chad Leeman and his girlfriend, Sally Landry; two great-grandchildren, Alecxander Leeman and Abagail Leeman; two adoring sisters, Patricia Walsh and her husband, Frank, and Sheila Gower and her husband, David; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A visiting hour will be held 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, with a funeral service held 11 a.m. Committal services with military honors will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Sebastian’s Cemetery, Father Rasle Road, Madison. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Somerset Humane Society, P.O. Box 453, Skowhegan, ME 04976.
